I just wanted to share with all of you a digest of some of the things I was musing about today. I hope you enjoy.
Apple News
By now you’ve all probably heard of Apple’s “Let’s talk iPhone” media event scheduled for 10:00am (Pacific Time) on October 4th being held in their Cupertino auditorium. The invitation (seen below) depicts four iOS icons. The talk amongst those paying attention (okay, everyone) is that Apple will finally release new iPhone hardware, whether it’s an iPhone 4S or an iPhone 5. I for one think (and hope) that it’ll be an iPhone 5. They’ve pushed out past their typical update cycle and delays usually mean that companies are working on big hardware changes. Only time will tell though. The talk is that the new iPhone will be released on October 14th. Another interesting note in Apple news is that Facebook may be releasing their native iPad app at this event as well. Stay tuned.

Classic Concert
If you can believe it, it’s been 20 years since Nirvana’s “Nevermind” album came out. Wow, 20 years! That is barely believable to me. I’ll admit that Nirvana is one of my favorite bands of all time (I’m in my late 20s) and I love them. Their music has had such staying power that I find myself listening to “Nevermind” on my iPhone often today. I came across a story at Mashable saying how Vevo is going to bring a Nirvana concert to the web and I got excited. Vevo, right now, is playing for one day only a loop of Nirvana at the Paramount Theater from October 31st, 1991. I am most definitely listening to it in the background while I write. If you miss it tonight, they’ll be showing an encore performance on October 31st, the anniversary of the concert.
